Notice of Public Hearings for the Drafts of the Substantial Amendment to Travis County’s 2006-2010 Consolidated Plan and Action Plan PY 2006

The United States Department of Housing and Urban Affairs, Office of Community Planning and Development recently informed Travis County of an error in the calculation of Travis County’s allocation amount for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. The initial allocation of $2,449,337 is now reduced to $838,659. Travis County is currently revising the 2006-2010 Consolidated Plan and PY 2006 Action Plan. Travis County’s CDBG grant funds will assist citizens in the unincorporated areas of Travis County.

Travis County officials and staff are requesting comment on the draft of the substantial amendment revision to the 5-year Consolidated Plan and the Year One Action Plan for program year 2006. The 15-day public comment period will begin November 15, 2006, at 8:00 am and end November 29, 2006, at 5:00 pm. Drafts of the Plans are available for review and copies of summaries of the Plans are available beginning November 15, 2006, at www.traviscountytx.gov
