Now I call to order the Travis County Bee Cave Road District Number 1, the Galleria.
Item one is to approve payment of claims and authorize county treasurer to invest road district funds.
Directors Huber and Eckhardt are absent.
Move approval of one.
There are claims, but no investments.
So we move that the claims are paid.

>> Seconded by director Gomez.
Discussion?
All in favor?
Show directors Biscoe and Gomez voting in favor.
Commissioner Davis abstaining.
So the motion carries by a vote of two-zero-one.
Item two is to consider and take appropriate action on recommended maximum tax rate and proposed fiscal year 2013 road district budget for Travis County bee cave road district number one.

>> In the backup you have the same type of rate study performed by ladd pattillo, your advisor.
And I'll turn it over to him to discuss that with you.

>> These four studies, judge, Commissioners, use the same assumptions that I used in golden triangle to be consistent.
You will see that in all four cases a 70-cent tax rate for this year I believe would be prudent.
In the negative or slow growth category or no growth, I mean, that could mean an increase of a penny next year, but last year when we were at 96 -- was it 96 cents, I believe?

>> 96.

>> Frankly, the developer who owns most of the property out there, and it's all built into the rent, said the debt service is the same amount for him every year anyway.
The tax rate is just a function of matsmatics.
The debt service is set.
He will have to -- they're basically going to have to pay a million 119 anyway.
So 70 cents I think would be prudent.
It would leave sufficient balances in the interest and sinking fund to cover at least about 30% of next year's debt service.

>> Okay.

>> I move approval of that recommendation of 70 cents.

>> Second to the motion?
Discussion?
All in favor?
Show directors Gomez and Biscoe voting in favor.
Commissioner Davis abstaining.
That motion passes by a vote of two in favor, zero against and one abstention.

>> Move adjourn.

>> Second.

>> All in favor?
That carries unanimously.
Thank you very much.

July 3, 2012: Travis County Launches New Video Playback System

Our new streaming video system uses a single video clip for each session and items are linked to specific locations on that clip. Some browsers and mobile devices do not recognize the location information and display the entire clip. If this happens the "start time" will help you find your item's video within the larger clip.

If you encounter playback issues check out our video playback help page. If you still encounter problems let us know.

On July 3rd, 2012, Travis County began leveraging free resources by posting Commissioners Court meetings on Youtube. Previously every video clip was edited separately and hosted on the county's video server. The old system also required RealPlayer to view the video clips.

The new systems save time and resources -- and that saves taxpayer dollars!
