And mr. Coffey is here on item number 2.
We'll reach that item in just a moment.
Speaker number 1 is gus pena.
Zachary sterns is here on the fireworks item, number 2.
Rob johnson.
Fireworks or citizens communication?
>>
>> [inaudible].
>> Okay.
He spoke eloquently as he was leaving, I'm sure.
Dr. Kim is the second speaker.
>> Yes, sir.
>> And shawn mcmadden.
>>
>> [inaudible].
>> We'll be there shortly.
>> Thank you.
>> And ronnie reeferseed is our third speaker.
Mr. Pena.
>> Good morning, judge, Commissioners, gus pena, proud united states marine corps veteran.
Served during the tail end of vietnam.
Judge, Commissioners, again I'm going to ask you all, please, please, please economic development.
And I know -- I know you won't get bored about hearing me say this again because we have a lot of students, they graduated, they are unemployed.
We have a lot of younger people that need jobs, are unemployed.
We need to get people working.
A lot of homeless people.
They lost their homes.
Basically unemployment is running out for them so they are not going to have any cash flow for them to pay their rent.
A lot of apartments are being torn in for affordable housing.
Affordable for who, not for us, we need it.
We could talk the budget talks early.
The city council in lack of infinite wisdom will take July off.
I'm sorry, I don't get that.
As many years that's happened and it's not supposed to happen, it's not in the best interest of the people.
Judge and Commissioners, Commissioner Gomez, I have a -- I have a suggestion.
You are looking at the race tracks.
You know, I don't know if you look at races or not, car races, but I don't like them.
I love to watch football, et cetera, but they have those big sound barriers kind of look like this.
Maybe if you could dialogue with the f1, these noise barriers will abate a lot of the noise.
Not all of it but most of it and thereby you will have a better living situation for residents of that area.
It won't adversely affect the neighborhood.
That is a suggestion you all can take up with the formula one issue and it affects the quality of life of the people out there and then those three days of fandango, people partying, no noise volume, you know, is there a law that states a certain volume, like for example the city of Austin has?
And I feel that's not productive for the residents.
I have three cousins who live in that area.
Anyway, before I run out of time, mentors and tutors.
We have a lot of students in summer school right now.
We did a great job.
We graduated 39 out of 40 dropouts.
That is a record for us.
I don't -- I don't come here and give accolades for myself or for my other people mentoring and tutoring professionals, but I want to thank a lot of people that have helped out to become mentors and tutors in the county and city of Austin.
Anybody can.
Mathematics, reading, writing, three of the key subjects students are hurting.
We need to make sure we get them graduated so they can become productive members of society.
>> [buzzer sounding] thank you.
Have a good day.
>> Thank you.
Dr. Kim.
>> Thank you, sir.
Good morning to all of you.
>> Good morning.
>> I greatly appreciate all of you.
I haven't been here since October 19, -- I have here since October 19, I took computer class and prove america is great and perfect and the president barack obama's job great in policy and the Texas workforce solution courier centers provided a great fund for Texas people to get a job.
Today is my last day of my computer technology class over there supported by president obama's policy.
My computer school is very good and perfect and my computer teacher, mr. Glenn shot, is very good and perfect teacher.
He always helps me to know why computer must be perfect to work and function properly across the world as it was supposed to.
This is a letter from Travis County.
You
>> [inaudible] the jurisdiction so I receive the letter from Travis County so now my case must be a Travis County issue.
You made the wrong decision to me.
This paper from Travis County office prove it to me right now right now.
So I come back every Tuesday and I tell you what and how Travis County government wronged my case.
And Texas government, american government.
American government president bush, sr.
And bill clinton and president bush, jr., and right now obama does not deny jurisdiction.
But Texas governor rick perry and attorney general greg abbott and Travis County, all of you Texas lawyers, american lawyers and judges, attorneys right here in Travis County violated Texas penal code, american penal code.
So I took all of you, those people, american lawyers, Texas lawyers, judges, justices to the criminal court to get a jury trial.
Even roman empire, even greece empire.
Slave system,
>> [inaudible] people get a trial, people kill jesus christ, socrates, but in the 21st century of american, president barack obama denied my jury trial right here.
>> [buzzer sounding] I need jury trial.
I take all the lawyers, judges and attorneys, justices to the Travis County criminal court to get jury trial, not to send any of them to jail, no.
I need a jury trial.
>> Thank you, dr. Kim.
Mr. Reeferseed.
>> Thank you, sir.
Hallelujah, friends, praise god and give thanks for your church and your church family.
For me the celebration is continually keeping on, for example, because of a few mere days in preparation in which I was allowed to help out miraculously I was also granted permission to witness the spectacularly hallucinogenic love and joy at the willie nelson show last weekend.
After helping to design and paint a little old sign and helping some -- with some more mundane tasks, Saturday I got to hear some talented young artists show off their love of music and then gloriously that towering fixture of texan music willie the man himself generously entertained us all with his greatest performance of music that I've ever seen.
And I even forgave him for supporting mayor leffingwell.
Yes, even willie's latest hit about smoking marijuana was featured.
Yes, it's happening, people, with our Texas musical icon willie nelson openly singing about smoking marijuana.
It is starting to look like our continually counterproductive war is finally fizzling out.
What does it mean?
That means the trillions of wasted dollars and the millions of wared lives now rotting behind bars are finally coming to a better outcome.
Imagine all family farms will be happier and financially stronger no matter what they grow.
All farmers' income will increase immensely because at least some of your fellow farmers will at least grow some hemp marijuana thereby lessening competitive pressures on everything else you grow.
And by helping to cancel the worldwide thug-opoly, farmers will be richers and organized
>> [inaudible] will be poorer.
Less money into the fists and clause of organized crime thugs means less killing.
Absolute freedom for farmers at home t proud nation of mexico can rise again to be the powerful civilization to our south blessed with remarkable natural resources, liberated from sociopathic drug thugs.

Yes, we can liberalize freedom.
Yes we can change, we all really can believe in.
Let's all legalize ourselves, conserve topsoil and help feed our future with freedom of farmers worldwide.
Freedom and liberty are the keys to less killing and more joy.
That's just kind of how I look at it.
>> [buzzer sounding] thanks so much for your time.
>> Thank you, mr. Reeferseed.
Those are the persons who signed in to speak under citizens communication.

July 3, 2012: Travis County Launches New Video Playback System
Our new streaming video system uses a single video clip for each session and items are linked to specific locations on that clip. Some browsers and mobile devices do not recognize the location information and display the entire clip. If this happens the "start time" will help you find your item's video within the larger clip.
If you encounter playback issues check out our video playback help page. If you still encounter problems let us know.
On July 3rd, 2012, Travis County began leveraging free resources by posting Commissioners Court meetings on Youtube. Previously every video clip was edited separately and hosted on the county's video server. The old system also required RealPlayer to view the video clips.
The new systems save time and resources -- and that saves taxpayer dollars!
