>> Finally let's call to order the Travis County Housing Finance Corporation. 1, consider and take appropriate action on the following request, a, membership dues of $300 for two memberships in the Texas affiliation of affordable housing providers, and b, registration fees of $790 for two attendees to the Texas housing conference held in Austin, Texas, July 23 through July 25, 2012, to be paid for by the corporation.
Afternoon.

>> Good afternoon.
Sharon dixon, housing corporation.
Do you guys have any questions about that?

>> Is membership in the Texas affiliation of affordable housing providers worth at least $300?

>> Yes --

>> The membership fee?

>> Yes, we believe so.
That is for two memberships.
This is one of the primary and most active affordable housing groups within the state and other entities like the nafa conference that we attended recently are heavily attended by these folks.
It's a lot of developers and financiers, folks coming to the hfc for funding and partnership opportunities, possibly.
It's also a good way just to get our name out there more actively in the housing community, letting them know that we're playing ball, we'd like to talk to people about bond issues if they've gotten good projects within the county.

>> And sending two to that conference is much better than sending one, although one could go and keep real good notes.

>> [laughter] and provide --

>> I think there's concurrent sessions at this one but also we found now we were splitting up to have separate meetings.
One was going to sessions that were most relevant and the other was meeting with developers and other housing providers and other lenders and possible trustees, so it actually worked very well for us in terms phil having meetings with people that are not always necessarily in the area.

>> You all gave that a whole lot of thought before today.

>> Yes, sir.

>> That's why I move approval of a and b.
Second by Gomez.
Discussion?
All in favor?
That passes by a unanimous vote.
thank you very much.

>>

>> [inaudible].

>> All in favor?
That carries unanimously.
