5, approve resolution recognizing the week of June 1 through 8, 2012 as "take heart Austin week 2012" in the Austin and Travis County community.

it is a wonderful opportunity for us to recognize the incredible work and incredible progress we have made in responding to a heart attack and preventing unnecessary ongoing effects of heart attack and of course -- would you like me to read the resolution?

I have become reliant on that.
whereas take heart Austin 2012 is the tenth celebration for cardiac survivors and families and rescuers, whereas victims of heart attacks Travis County are blessed to have care 24/7, 365, thanks to the dedicated officers of the Travis County emergency service medical is system and we are pleased to recognize the system including the 14 county service districts for their efforts to improve survival and recovery from sudden cardiac arrest and are grateful to the citizens to step forward and perform cpr before the arrival of the first responders, be it resolvedded we the Travis County Commissioners court recognize June 82012 as take heart Austin 2012 in the Austin and Travis County community.

tell us more what we can do as a community.

>> thank you Commissioner Eckhardt and judge Biscoe and Commissioners, thanks for for allowing us to be here.
our community is top 25% of the cardiac survival in the nation and it is because of the support of the Commissioners court and our community for our system.
one thing we are trying to push throughout the community is people to learn chest compression, cpr, which takes term minutes and our goal is to get 5,000 people trained within the next five years and then continue that over the years to come.
in our communed our survival rate for cardiac arrest is 12% and the national average is 10% and it is because of the support of the Commissioners and the system as a whole which includes the community and the responders for cardiac arrest survival.

judge Biscoe, thanks for agreeing to attend and we extend invitation to all of our Commissioners to attend this celebration which will be Friday, June 1st, 2:00 p.m.

>> it is a wonderful celebration.

it is uplifting.
and also can you tell us the opportunity for learning the -- doing what we call 10 and 10.

>> cpr, if you can call our office at 978-0000, we will set up a take ten cpr for any office or any one that's interested in the community.

>> it's really a wonderful program, easy to do.
I have seen y'all set up booths and all kinds of festivals and community events where you can just go in a tent and learn cpr in ten minutes.
all to the bee gees of staying alive.
