Number 5, approve proclamation recognizing 150th anniversary of Cinco de Mayo, the Battle of Puebla, in Travis County.
Commissioner Gomez.
that's number 5.

>> whereas 2012 marks the sueth anniversary of the battle of pueba, successfully defended themselves against french troops.
and whereas 26 years ago Travis County began hosting a cinco de mayo celebration that is signified by the battle of puebla and recognize the men and women who fought and those who still work to ensure our freedom and whereas this is the 16th annual combined city of Austin and Travis County which has been sponsored by many department heads.
whereas this year Travis County Commissioner Margaret Gomez will host a reception for elected and appointed officials who have sponsored this I vent in previous years.
now therefore be it proproclaimed that Travis County recognizes the 150th anniversary of cinco de mayo and encourages all citizens to honor those who fought in this great battle and I move approval.
no one is here to accept the proclamation because I think everybody is busy, but at the same time we won't have the celebration as we usually do at the park.
we were notified by the city of Austin that they were going to close it down so that they could fix it.
apparently there's some repairs to be done at the gazebo.
and then I guess some of the grounds.
so that's why we're having the reception instead on the 15th floor at 700 lavaca.
on Friday.
and so this is to recognize all of the sponsors who have been with us through the previous years.
but next year we will have the celebration back at the park.
so that's my explanation of this.

>> will there be free refresh inspects.

>> absolutely.

>> the county judge hereby rsvps.

>> you bet.
we had you at the top of the list.

>> [laughter]

>> all in favor?
that passes by unanimous vote.
looking forward to it.
