Travis County Commissioners Court

May 15, 2012 - Citizens Communication
Agenda

View captioned video.

First on the agenda is Citizens Communication.
and this item gives residents an opportunity to address the court on any matter not on the agenda for up to three minutes.
two residents have signed in, gusn3 pena, number one, ronnie reeferseed, number two.

>> good morning.
gus pena, proud east Austinites, proud marine corps.
mentors and tutors, we need mentors and tutors to help our students graduate and subsequently be promoted to the subsequent great whatever level they are.
I beg you, I ask you again, please mentor a student.
get him and him involved in school, active in school and also a positive graduate.
second is I'd like to inform you about a meeting at the millennium youth entertainment.
this entertainment center, and Commissioner Ron Davis, you were involved, in 1996 the city entered into a financing agreement with the corporation to construct the central city entertainment center later renamed the millennium youth entertainment center.
the mission of the facility was determined by the Austin community, the Austin community, and confirmed through council appointed committee.
I was part of the vision and the mission keepers, peacekeepers back then.
the mission as recorded to provide a safe, secure and comfortable environment free from drugs, crime and violence where families can enjoy recreational activities.
keep the mission as it is.
there will be a community meeting and I invite all elected officials from the county Commissioners court as I did at the city council also and there will be some senators in attendance also to listen to the community.
it is well attended.
it is a good, good facility to provide bowling, basketball, anything that keeps the kids and students off of the streets and gangs into positive organized activities away from negative organized crime.
judge and Commissioners, again, I tell you this is not an affordable city.
a lot of families becoming homeless.
when we say affordable housing, let's have a clear-cut definition of affordable housing.
what can be affordable to people from california or new york is not affordable to people in Austin.
the issues we have a lot of, families becoming homeless.
we need jobs.
with a livable prevailing wage that they can maintain these families and homes.
we don't have any affordable apartments anywhere.
if they are they are dumps.
I know team up with city of Austin and I know they have with the school district also to provide this and educational opportunities.
judge, Commissioners, thank you very much, have a good day.
I know you are all hard working and appreciate our veterans who serve in afghanistan and iraq, they need our help.
a society's worth is measured by its treatment of the less fortunate.
they need help, let's give them the help they need.
thank you very much.

>> thank you, mr. Pena.
mr. Reeferseed.

>> thank you, sir.
greetings, yes, I'm ronnie reeferseed and the lame scheme media announced last night that the Ron paul campaign is cutting back.
what that really means is our ongoing Ron paul revolution for love and liberty and our precious constitution is moving out of states that have already had their primaries or caucuses, again, parroting my friend gus pena.
it's the veterans we need to be concerned about.
and the active duty personnel because they are being not only shoved into these idiotic wars with no consequence or no purpose for our national security but they are being pu-ed.
depleted uranium weapons were banned, they were last ditch, they were invented for the purposes of one last toxic bunch of garbage we throw at our enemies, assuming we had nuclear exchange to worry about.
and they banned them from being used until recently, then they decided, well, our troops don't matter, we are going to go ahead and use them.
the d.u.
weapons, the depleted uranium is so toxic that even fire ago gun that has a d.u.
gun leaves out the gun so the guy operating the gun or weapon or missile launching system or whatever, they are definitely getting a dose of that stuff.
and frankly, it's really shameful.
you and me, we all pay taxes to the military industrial complex of criminals and war pigs.
they don't care about the troops.
they would just as soon they day.
that's less payment they have to make so they can make us pay more money to these huge corporations that, again, they don't really care about us.
they are not based in the united states, many or most of them.
and they've already got their little properties off shore and it's just shameful how the military industrial complex, which president eisenhower so wisely warned us about has just been transforming and transmuting itself into this huge global death cult and it's not unrelated to the death cult that they trained all the women of this world or at least the feminist, confused feminists in our country to think their freedom means they've got to kill their babies.
it's all the same state of mind, people.
they kill people.
they don't care about human life at all.
they just want more money for themselves.
that's the only thing that matters to those people.
and it's a different state of mind.
and that's one of the reasons that ob-gyn dr. Ron paul has just been so popular with everybody.

>> [buzzer sounding] look into it.
Ron paul 2012.com.
thank you.

>> thank you, mr. Reeferseed.
those are the two persons signed in.
