April 17, 2012 - Item 1
Agenda
Item number 1 is a public hearing to receive comments to close Mcangus Road beginning April 25, 2012 through May 25, 2012, or until construction is completed in Precinct 4.
>> move the public hearing be open.
>> second.
>> all in favor?
that passes by unanimous vote.
>> good morning, judge, Commissioners.
steve manila from t.n.r.
this is a request to close mcangus road to through traffic so that we can replace some very old culverts that pass underneath mcangus road.
this is something that we're doing in addition to reconstructing the pavement in preparation for the heavy use of the road whenever the f 1 event occurs.
the pavement is being reconstructed today, but this culvert because it goes under the road entirely we would have to close it, remove it and replace it and reinstate the pavement.
the closures expect to take one month starting April 25th and we would request your approval for this closure.
>> we've indicated for residents the detour route?
>> the detour route is in your backup under action item 16.
we have posted notice on site.
we typically notify the isds, the emergency service providers and the mail service providers.
>> if you would like to give comments during this public hearing, please come forward.
yes, sir.
if you would have a seat and give us your name, we would be happy to get your comments.
>> I'm Ron bacon.
I'm the park manager of a little bit country on the particular road that you are discussing right now closing down, but I think my concerns have been answered.
there would be a detour for the residents that live there and that's all I'm just here to represent them and give them full explanation of what will happen during this process.
>> okay.
>> that's the only thing I have.
>> any questions for mr. Bacon.
>> just thank you for serving in that function for your neighbors.
>> thank you very much.
anybody else?
public hearing number 1.
>> move the public hearing be closed.
>> second.
>> all in favor?
that passes by unanimous vote.
this will be action item number 16 and we'll recommend that be added to the consent motion.
