consider and take appropriate action on authorization to utilize funding from existing certificates of obligation for use in the current fiscal year 2011 hmac program to resurface cameron road in precinct one

>> good morning, judge, Commissioners.
this project, actually, cameron road, unfortunately, based on the -- based on the drought that we've suffered, cameron road is very high traffic, the speed limits range from 50 to 55 miles an hour, really no shoulders on there.
so we had moved this project up from next year's hot mix program and actually it originally when we did the study, didn't even make it for next year.
it's really gotten to a point where it's deteriorated significantly and probably promotes a -- a safety issue by people trying to -- to get off the failed edges and driving down the center of the road at very high speed traffic.
so what we want to do is take these funds and go ahead and do a level up and overlay for this roadway to promote safety of the traveling public.

>> so how much money is left in that fund?

>> these were funds that I believe total about 280,000 that got swept.
and so -- so I -- so I'm not sure, p.b.o.
might be better able to answer that information.
but what they wanted to do was take these moneys from this fund and reduce the allocation that's coming up in the summer.

>> so this $280,000 would pretty much exhaust whatever the balance is, we think.

>> for the hmac project.
