it ought to be a quick one.
number 15, approve order exempting the purchase of tasers and related equipment from gt distributor from the competitive proceed court process pursuant to section 2 sky .024-a-7-a of the county purchasing act.
and I had a note to put this on consent because this is the only distributor in the state of Texas, but anything regarding tasers historically has kind of gotten surfaced.
any issues with that?

>> the county attorney just pulled me out and had a question if there were other persons that made the taser.
taser is a brand name.
the only manufacturer.
and I have a expert here on tasers on why that particular brand is what we should be using.

the reason rego with taser international and gt is the only distributor is because when it comes to the legal aspect, if something were to happen, say somebody want to sue an individual that deploys a taser, they have a legal team that backs them up, that officer and the company.
it's really for the company's benefit.
they have a legal team that backs them up.
these other companies don't.
you are out on your own if something happens and somebody wants to sue.
that's one of the main reasons we stick with taser international.
>> also, taser international has had a fairly good track record we've seen in past on providing updates and reports to their users about how not to use the taser and what circumstances to avoid with it, correct?
