Executive Session
Now, miss porter, thank you, miss shields, let's call back to order the voting session of the Travis County Commissioners court.
we posted two interviews for 1:45, and mr. Nellis, we are a little bit before that time.
however, over lunch I learned that mr. Nellis and miss fleming would like to chat with us about the interviews they thought after the interviews would be better, I think before the interviews would be.
and so if you agree, we will announce item 28.
actually we may as well announce all the others too.
but 28 we'll take up first, and it's the interview, final candidates for the position of county executive planning and budget office.
two of them, a, john woodruff, and b, leslie browder and we listed those in this order for no particular reason.
did we tell them we would interview them in this order?
>> then we will do that and these interviews are conducted in executive session under the personnel exception to the open meetings act.
and this morning we indicated that we would take item 3 into executive session under consultation with attorney, consider and take appropriate action on an order concerning outdoor burning in the unincorporated areas of Travis County.
there are some legal questions we want to ask our lawyers.
and we also said we would take item 6 into executive session, didn't we?
we posted that it might be taken in.

that's the matter involving the smoke-free policy.

I announced before I read it but it's consultation with attorney.
got some legal questions for the fire marshal regarding the fire marshal's works.
6, the Travis County smoking policy.
the travis code, and that will be under the consultation with attorney exception.
going back to the items postalled for executive session discussion, 24, consider and take appropriate action on economic development agreement with Austin executive airport.
and the exception is economic development negotiations exception to the open meetings act.
25, consider and take appropriate action on request by rre Austin solar, llc, to amend the chapter 381 agreement contract investment period from December 31, 2011, to June 30, 2013.
and that will be the financial incentives exception also, economic development negotiations item.
and 26, receive briefing and take appropriate action on draft agreement with star of Texas fair and rodeo.

we announced this morning 27 would not be discussed today but will be on the agenda again next week just in case we need it.
we'll discuss these matters in executive session under the announced exceptions, but will return to open court before taking any action.
