Consent

View captioned video.

>> the consent items are next.
and posted for consent are c 1 through c 3.
any issues with any of them?
let's consider adding the following items to the consent motion.
if anyone would like us to discuss separately any of the items I'm about to list please say so as I call out the number of the item.
number 4 after pulling judge williams issue out for discussion at a later date.
5.

>>

>> [inaudible].

>> please come forth and do so right now.
now, you understand what this does, right?

>> I think so.
and just again, I'm ronnie reeferseed.
Ron paul

>> [indiscernible].

>> do you have anything to say relevant to this item?

>> yes, I want to thank governor gardasil for this ongoing organized --

>> mr. Reeferseed, anything relevant to --

>> family farms and that's what this is about, isn't it?

>> no, sir.

>> well, it's about the drug -- but it is.
I hate to

>> [indiscernible] which is an improvement.

>> this is the state telling us that income generated by this program has to be reported and budgeted quarterly.
that's all this item does.

>> I'm sorry.
you got me.

>> thank you very much.
number 6.
7.
8.
9.
912.the one we had the public hearing on.
13.
14.
do we need a briefing on 15?
that work is already -- is already underway.

>> no.

>> I authorized it as an emergency the daylight that it occurred because -- the date it occurred because the courts were closed.
it ended up costing roughly $100,000 when we thought it would cost a whole lot more initially, and there's a $50,000 deductible, the rest is covered by property insurance.
we can get a briefing if we need one.
I don't know that we have much choice really.

>> we really don't.

>> 15 ab and c will be part of the consent motion.
I guess somebody needs to let us know whether the bonds of 16 -- I know they were working on them feverishly last Thursday and my office hand delivered them to the bonding company.
so if 16 we can approve if they are available.
let's assume that they are.
if they are not will somebody let us know otherwise?

>>

>> [inaudible] and I think --

>> [inaudible].

>> me too.
and by the way, the bond says the office is effective January 1, but the bond and oath must be executed beforehand.
so as far as I know, everything is in order.
and the question I have I guess is this salary is set at the tax assessor's salary, and the question for hrmd and I guess legally is whether the court needs to take any action.
if so, let us know.
if not, I'm told that we really don't have much choice anyway, but if there is a routine approval necessary, somebody should let us know.
so in the meantime, 16 is part of the consent motion unless we are notified otherwise between now and the end of court today.
17.
miss morton is one of the new people there and some others who are authorized signatories.

>> right.

>> 19, with the terms being January 1, 2012, through June 30, 2012.
and second term would be July 1 through December 31st.
2012.
the law requires that Commissioners court set those terms and those come to us from the probate judge.
a 1 we were advised that the court by law needs to do, and my question is whether the terms are the same.
a 1 is to set those terms for the courts at law, county courts at law.
and as far as I know, January 1, 2012, through June 30th, 2012, and the second one would be July 1, 2012, through December 31st, 2012.
I didn't see any backup on this.
did y'all?

>> huh-uh.

>> and this came as sort of a last-minute item so we added it.

>> okay.

>> let's just add a 1.

>> I move approval.

>> would anyone of us like to discuss any of the items separately?
all in favor?
that passes by unanimous vote.
