Citizens communication is next.
this item gives residents an opportunity to address the court on any matter not on the agenda.
for up to three minutes.
diane blankenship is speaker number one, morris priest number two, rick pearson number 3.

>> good morning, judge, Commissioners.

>> [noise from audience]

>> beg your pardon?

>> okay.
are you mr. Pearson?

>> okay.

>> ms. Blankenship.

>> director of hrmd reporting to the court this morning some very good news.
I wish crystal was here to give this good news.
unfortunately she is training with sap, well, I guess fortunately for hershey's at sap training.
we had a total in the hrmd department for the Travis County combined charities campaign, our goal was $10,000, we exceed our goal.
we ended up collecting 10,383.07.
due in large part to our employees personal contributions, some various fundraisers that we had, the final pool tournament that we had put us over the $10,000 mark.
in addition to the contributions that our employees made to their personal charities, the group contributions went to child incorporated hospice of Austin, breast cancer resource of Austin, child help, saint jude's boy scouts of america, food bank of Austin, animal trustees of Austin, center for the child protection and prevent child abuse, Austin, Texas.
so we wanted to give you that report back.
we are certainly still -- the judge extended this until the 22nd, so we are happy to take any more contributions if anybody wants to contribute and we also want to say thank you to our retirees who supported our efforts.
some of them came in and made lump sum contributions to help us meet our goal.
I'm sorry to rush so much, but I've also got two other things to briefly mention.
the second thing that I want to mention is that the formulary is going into effect on January 1st.
we've had numerous campaigns going on.
as a matter of fact cindy prankton two meetings this morning with our employees and retirees regarding what this formulary means to them.
people from prescription solutions meeting individually with our employees regarding their specific drugs.
if anybody has any questions, please try to attend one of these meetings posted on travis central or come see us personally and we can help you individually look for things like coupons or whatever you might need to help control the cost of your drugs.
lastly, long-term care is going into effect on April the 1st.
we will be having meetings and we need to hit all employees, touch all employees with these meetings in January and the first half of February.
so we want you to be looking for those.
come to a meeting, they are not going to be long meetings, but it's very important, long-term care is different from long-term disability, we want to make sure that every one of our employees has a chance to get their questions answered about this.
that's what's going on right now in hrmd.
it's clearly not the slow time yet.
I'm not sure when that happens, I've been here a year and a half now, so never, that's what I have, I hope that was three minutes, thank you very much.

>> thank you very much, congratulations to the department on reaching that goal.

>>

>> [indiscernible]

>> mr. Priest?

>> thank you, judge, Commissioners, morris priest, speaking on my own behalf.
kim young il is now kim yun dead but what's not dead is the fireworks sale locally.

>> [indiscernible] must go with the campo 8 and executive directors.
a lot of great election news coming up with jan running against bradley in Williamson county for the da position.
strickland and gerald running against our county Commissioner Huber and victor gonzalez running against Commissioner Davis here.
hopefully we can get some new leadership.
there was a -- it was great to see the leadership of doctor carstarfen with nine members of the school board supporting the idea of campus, ended up with a 6-3 vote.
of course we all knew that was would pass despite the efforts of gus and blowhorn.
I do want to mention the fact that we do need change here.
it was good to see rick and mitt and michelle and newt and all of the republicans up there.
of course michelle bachman made some pretty good comments about newt's freddie and fanny mac fiasco, of course locally one of the local radio people here, lisa, made comments about michelle bachman's appearance.
which she would have she shouldn't because she would have to go to makeup to get a part on planet of the apes.
michelle bachman did expose the Ron paul fraud on the foreign policy.
we have a lot of people that are really getting motivated and really reaching out to other counties in the area.
doing a great job and we do need to replace many of the people on the campo board, Commissioner Eckhardt, justine blackMoore, we may even have to recall some of these people such as george garver from georgetown, Karen Huber of course we're hoping to be replaced and maybe recall mayor leffingwell.
jeff mills, chris riley, bill spelman round up the campo 8.
we also need a new executive director who needs to learn what it is to inform the public.
many opportunities are going to be available to us through the university of Texas and other forums. We do have a schedule of a campo meeting.
of course we're still fighting the boarder violence.
the -- the border violence.
the war that we have south of us is out of -- this out of control drug war that we have going on in our nation.
and -- and many people working through the department of agriculture and other agencies at the state --

>> [buzzer sounding] -- thank you, have a great day, god bless you.
thank you, mr. Priest.
.

>> > ronnie reeferseed.

>> thank you, sir, yes, I'm ronnie

>> [inhale] reeferseed.

if it's not to be found in the constitution, I vote against it.
sound familiar?
that's right, dr. No, I'm just paraphrasing the poet ob/gyn dr. Ron powell -- Ron paul, who was married to the same wonderful woman, delivered over 4,000 babies, delivered scholarly -- political poet in our nation's history.
welcome to the Ron paul revolution.
with the power of his intellect, dr. Paul demonstrates excuse me actual problem solving with words.
what a concept.
stop the killing, stop the evil cycle of death.
face it.
they are -- there are evil scheming tortured souls who revel in the hatred of death.
we must somehow forgive them and teach them love and non-violence by example.
many of the socio-pathic criminals must be locked up for life.
let's start with mr. And ms. Felony hog wish trader, yes, our secretary of shameless hate is dissolving, the gig is up bernace: you are all looking for serious time behind bars.
