Travis County Commissioners Court
December 13, 2011 (Agenda)
Consent
The consent items are next and posted for consent are c 1 through c 4.
any issues with any of them?
let's consider adding the following items to the consent motion.
if anyone would like for us to discuss any of these items separately, please say so as I call out the number of the item.
number 4.
and the backup came late, but it did come.
and this is rather routine, right?
4.
5.
6 a and b.
>> I would like to say something about 6 b.
>> 6 a?
6 a you would like to say something?
>>
>> [inaudible] praise.
>> you want to come praise right now, mr. Reeferseed?
it will be good news coming from you.
>> well, hey, look, it's great to read.
like it says, reject terrorism -- my name is ronnie reeferseed and I'm rejecting terrorism coverage under the terrorism risk insurance act of 2002 or whatever.
>> [laughter] and authorize the county judge to sign the said policy disclosure statement.
so we're on top of things here.
obviously the war on terrorism is a hoax.
let's stop the war on the constitution.
thank you, judge.
>> any other problems with a and b being part of the consent motion?
we have done this annually for at least-u@/ the last 10 or 11 years.
number 7.
8.
>> judge, I'm going to --
>> we'll call up 8 separately.
9 a and b.
10.
12.
all of 13.
any issues with 14?
>> no.
>> we'll call 14 up separately.
15.
I think on 15 I need -- we need to encourage county staff and the sponsor of this event to check with the concessionaire, make sure there's a good understanding of what the youth program will do and won't do regarding food and beverages.
that's number 15.
number 16 a and b.
same thing about that one, and looks like in b it's not quite a waiver, it's like a partial waiver.
but if they get a good understanding of exactly what the young people will and will not do, I think that would be good.
>> okay.
>> 18.
19 a and b.
20.
21.
22.
looks like that amount is up to $1,250.
number 23.
no, no, not 23.
pardon me.
>> bless you.
>> 24.
is the one I meant to call out.
and I think 24 is the last one.
>> move approval of consent.
>> would anyone like to pull anyone items I just listed for separate discussion?
all in favor in that passes by unanimous vote.
