Executive Session

We will go into executive session and discuss the following items: 23, receive briefing from county attorney and take appropriate action in eddie hall versus convincey stiles.
consultation with attorney exception.
24, consider and take appropriate action on the invitation from the attorney general's office to file a brief in response to opinion request number rq 1003-ga recording county water availability rules.
consultation with attorney exception.
25, receive legal briefing and take appropriate action on request regarding county participation in parking mobility initiative.
consultation with attorney.
26, receive briefing from county attorney regarding status of lease agreement at 700 lavaca with Austin suites management, ltd, and take appropriate action.
consultation with attorney and real property exceptions.
27 we announced is postponed.
28, the matter involving a proposal to purchase certain open space land near gilleland creek in precinct 1 including scheduling a public hearing and other related issues, which we discussed in open court --

a 1 is that matter I just mentioned regarding gilleland creek which we discussed in open court and that's posted under consultation with attorney and real protest exceptions to the open meetings act.
we'll discuss these items in executive session but will return to open court before taking any action.


We've returned from executive session where we discussed the items that we announced, including 23, the matter involving the lawsuit in eddie hall versus quincy lamont styles.
I move that we ask steve manila to serve as the county representative at trial as this matter involves a tnr employee.

24 is a matter involving an opinion request filed with the attorney general regarding county water availability rules.
I move that we authorize the county attorney to file on behalf of the -- of Travis County.

25, I move that we postpone action one week and that we chat with roger jeffreys and see how he can assist us with this and look at other aspects of this and indicate our intention to take action next week.

26, I guess my inclination is to go ahead and have the meeting with the representative, I guess owner of Austin suites management, since he's requested one, and have this back on the court's agenda next Tuesday for a follow-up discussion and appropriate action.

we indicated earlier that it would be postponed.
a-1 is the matter involving the proposal to purchase certain open space land near gilleland creek in precinct 1.
I move that we schedule a public meeting with interested residents at the east side service center on Thursday, December 1st, 2011.
at six p.m.
and that we make available to residents the outline and map that we saw as well as any other information generated by county staff that might inform residents, including some notification that the backup can be obtained from either the transportation and natural resources department or any member of the Commissioners' court.
is that okay?
