>> we competed at the county level or with the only team coming at county and we got to compete at district level.
we won our district contest and went on to compete at state.
when we competed at state, we actually won the contest so in January we get to go to denver, colorado and compete at the national western 4-h roundup.
>> that is a very exciting time for us because from the history, Travis County hasn't had a team compete in a national contest since either the '30s or '60s.
but either way it is a phenomenal opportunity and there is five other other teammates that will be traveling along with myself to the event in denver so we are really looking forward to that and then I will let kristin talk about our show, something that is coming up in January.
>> hi, in January we have a Travis County youth show which is coming up, this is our favorite time of the year.
it is really fun.
there is all kind of stuff there.
there is a youth fair which is where kids exhibit photography skills, sewing skills, it is a big contest and a lot of fun and a lot of us show animals as well, such as pigs, goats, rabbits and steers and that's more fun because we get to learn about the animals and compete with it.
and this year they are having a floral design contest so students from high school or middle school can practice their floral design skills as well as welding.
there is also a program called junior superintendents which which had those last year and you help all of the superintendents and it is a great way to have leadership and learn more leadership skills because you help them out a lot.
you meet more people that help you with more leadership things and there is also a queen and princess contest where you can help work the shows and stuff and just the really good opportunity.
and I would like to invite all of you to come out there.
it is free parking, free admission.
you can see all we do.
it is very fun.
tons of kids.
tons of great people.
it is really fun, it is the 13-15 of January.
twenty-first is a bull riding night which is a lot of fun with professional bull riders and it is a lot of fun and y'all should come as well.
>> again, thank you for allowing us to come out and we did bring small token of appreciation for you.
