Travis County Commissioners Court
Tuesday, November 8, 2011 (Agenda)
Item 3
3.
consider and take appropriate action on an order concerning outdoor burning in the unincorporated areas of Travis County.
mr. Lee.
>> good morning, judge, Commissioners.
lee, Travis County fire marshal.
I haven't been here the last hour but when I came in this morning there was a cold front on the western edge of Travis County coming in, which is a good thing, the only bad thing is that we are expecting a quarter inch to accumulate which includes a few showers we had the last few days.
the quarter inch will be welcome but it won't what wee need to lift the burn ban, our drought index is in the 644 range and the current burn ban won't expire until November 16 and depending on conditions we mr. Bring a new agenda item to you next week, my recommendation to leave the burn ban in place.
>> questions or comments?
by current action we leave the current burn ban if place.
thank you for much.
why don't we go to item 16 and then go back to number 7.
