Travis County Commissioners Court
Tuesday, October 18, 2011 (Agenda)
Item 6d
6 is to review and request regarding grant programs, applications, contracts and permissions to continue.
d is amendment to the fiscal year 2011 agreement with the office of the governor, criminal justice division.
to report generative program income in the final budget for the criminal courts drug diversion court program.
mr. Reeferseed, let me tell you what this is.
the only change this brings about is that we would start reporting program income in the final budget before we simply have not reported it in the form that we submitted to the governor's office.
they want us to report it, this says we will.
now, what are your comments?
>> [indiscernible] more transparency in our government.
I appreciate what you all are doing.
the reason that I wrote to speak about this is when -- whenever I see a drug court issue, I just have to throw out my two cents that -- that the sooner -- the better for when we decriminalize hemp marijuana and stop wasting all of the money that ties up our criminal justice schemology and all of those lies wasted rotting behind bars.
lives wasted reporting behind bars.
I want to help save those kids being killed by alcohol instead.
we need to promote hemp marijuana.
thanks.
>> thank you.
move approval, judge.
>> second.
>> that's worth four cents, mr. Reeferseed.
you have said it enough for us to appreciate it.
all in favor?
that passes by unanimous vote.
