nobel prize winner in economics, three,
>> [indiscernible] are americans, but still we have economy problem.
amazing.
and those two economic -- nobel prize winners research on central bankers, related to central bankers in the government, how they are related and why we have this kind of a problem.
they didn't provide the answer.
they didn't.
but I have the answer.
this also -- Austin american-statesman, new york pays the bill for wall street protesters.
they have answers.
they have answers, what is their answer, american democracy, it's broken.
to fix american democracy is the answer.
how to fix it?
more tax for the rich people and the answer one percent population over the nation control 99% of the population.
that's american economy situation right now.
they provide the answer!
they don't have a master's degree.
some people have high school degree.
they have answer.
even nobel prize winners has no answers, nobel prize is useless right now.
my wife save $4,000 in united central bank in 2000.

>> [indiscernible] they dismissed it.
they take the case of dallas county, dallas county court dismissed it!
I appealed to the federal government banking system!

american banking system how corrupt is people's life here.
thank you, dr. Kim.
tony callaway and then mr. Pena.
I guess we ran out of forms, mr. Pena.
>> sure did, your honor.
>> mr. Callaway then, mr. Pena.
>> good morning, tony callaway with Travis County fire marshal's office, we would like to remind the great citizens of Travis County that is fire prevention month.
although we realize that fire prevention is a year-round endeavor, we like to put emphasis on the public education aspect during the month of October.
here recently during the last two week ends we were able to recognize with the sheriff's office four separate venues and public displays, the representatives from the Travis County fire marshal's office are in the lobby today with fire safety knowledge to share, handouts and other goodies.
if you have a chance today, stop by the table, they would like to share some of the information with you, thank you.
>> thank you.
>> [ applause ]
>> mr. Pena.
>> very good job, department.
judge, good morning, gus pena, proud native east Austin night, proud united states marine corps veteran.
when I enlisted in the united states marine corps as a recruit, we lifted up our right hand and swore affirmation to defend the constitution and the freedom of liberty and pursuit of happiness for the united states of america from enemies more than and domestic.
when I went to the city council to speak on this election move from may to November, I found enemies among my own american people and the city council.
we were slandered, denamed, derespected by the mayor and some councilmembers.
let me tell you this much, people, my dad was born in 1898 in mexico, he legalized himself in crystal city.
he served in world war i, by older brother lucio served in world war ii, served in korea, a lot of us served in vietnam.
I served during the united states marine corps, gave nearly my life to my country.
what I'm trying to say is this.
the city charter was written and established for a reason.
if you want to change the charter, do it by board of referendum, not by some mayor, mayoral effort in the city council, I know this is the county economic, but it affects the -- county commission, but affects the county Travis County taxpayers, if the elections were not moved to November it would be costly.
it's going to be costly anyway, but don't use the cost of nearly a million dollars, use it as a crux to slander, defame and try to damage the career of some of us out in the community who worked nearly all of our lives to better the quality of life for all of the people.
not just the mexican-americans in east Austin, but the blacks and poor, many poor in the white and black community and asian american community.
let the voter referendum decide, to decide whether to move the election from may to November.
but remember the charter is there for a purpose for the city of Austin.
it's going to cost the county and city voters money, yes.
but don't use it as an excuse, because if you let the election remain in may, low voter turnout anybody can get elected.
if the mayor is scared because of low voter turnout in may, don't run for reelection.
I'm very angry for the mayor right now.
he disrespected us.
the issue is we military veterans fought for the right for people to say what they want to, for our country to remain democratic country and not disrespect us.
what the actions of the mayor and some councilmembers did, not fully funding social services agencies, compromise the basic needs, the health, and the quality of life of a lot of poor, needy, havenots, helps, hopeless, not fully funding social service agencies, the two most gifted segments of our population -- I will wrap up, judge, that of our senior citizens and youth have been compromised because they don't have enough money to provide the basic needs.
judge, thank you very much for letting me rant and rave.
here's my i.d.
43 years old.
I served my country, please us.
thank you very much, I love my country anyway.
>> thank you, mr. Pena.
>> anybody else for citizens communication, we did run out of forms, here.
>> thank you, gus.
>> not here on an item, but to speak during citizen communication?
