consider and take appropriate action on an order regarding outdoor burning in the unincorporated areas of Travis County.

well, where do I start?
we recently were blessed by rainstorms, obviously they're for the going to end the drought that we're currently in.
we're still in the extreme to exceptional category, which are the two highest levels of drought index measured.
the drought index was lowered by several hundred points in several parts of the county.
unfortunately we have a very wide county, many of our storms track on one side of interstate 35 or the other.
with that said it brought our county average down to 579, but we still have portions mainly in the far eastern part of our county, there's a high of 691 and in portions over adjacent to where manchaca area is they are extremely high as well.
to remind you all, the kbdi, once it gets up to about 575, that's really our benchmark of critical state.
so our average is still above that.
on Thursday they are predicting northern wind of constant winds between 10 and 15 miles an hour with gusts over 20 miles an hour.
and the major factor of that, not only the wind speed, but it will also most likely lower our humidity level, right now we are fortunate to be in very high humidity during the last 72 hours, our current --

>> our recommendation is keep the burn ban in place.
