View captioned video.

Let's go to the consent motion.
then I'll come back and pick up citizens communication.
posted for consent are c 1 through c 6.
let's consider adding the following items to the consent motion.
if anyone would like for us to discuss any of the items I'm about to list separately, please say so as I call out the item.
number 2.
3 ab and c.
4.
5.
andrea shields would be that person.

>>

>> [inaudible].

>> what's your question, mr. Reeferseed?

>> I was wondering what was required to make us bypass the regular procedure.

>> it's not by passing regular procedure.
the predecessor has left the county.
this person is stepping into that person's shoes.
somebody needs to be able to sign these documents.
we are recommending ms. Shields because of her position.

>> sure.
thank you, sir.

>> b is authorize the county judge to sign on behalf of the Commissioners court.
number 6.
7 a and b.

>> b, just a comment actually.

>> we'll call you up for comment later.
7 a.
number 8.
by the way, we had proposed new job classifications and this item is not posted to do that so we'll have a separate posting next week.

>> [telephone ringing] 9.
pardon me.
number 10.
11 a and b.
12.
13.
14.

>> I have a question about 14 procedurally.

>> 14 we will call up separately.
15.
16.
17.
my only question about 17, was that part affected by the fires?

>> I've heard it was but it's still open for business.

>> all right.
17.
18.
19.

>> I would like to make a comment.

>> now is a good time.

>> I support this variance.
but I would like to just say for the record that I continue to be extremely frustrated by our inability to limit the road cuts into major highways where it is significant safety problems. This project is a good one.
there's no legal reason why we should deny this, but it's a problem with these kinds of projects.
but I do support this.

>> okay.
Commissioner Eckhardt.
number 20.
then we jump to 24.
25, as far as I know those are the same early voting locations.

>> 25.
and 26.
and 26 is the last one.

>> move approval.

>> second.

>> and we pulled 7 b off, but all the other items are included to concept motion, the ones that we listed.
all in favor?
that passes by unanimous vote.
