the order before you was prepared by the county attorney's office, attached to a memo of p.b.o., which also has information attached to it that -- that resembles what would have been in an ad had we had to advertise but we did not this year.
there is no salary increases proposed.
this is following direction set out to p.b.o.
by the Commissioners court to match elected officials salaries to the -- to the extent possible to those of rank and file.
since the preliminary budget will not include any salary increases for rank and file, that is what we're proposing as well for the elected officials.
once this order is approved, it will set in motion the -- the calendar for the grievance process, if applicable.
and we -- we seek approval today.
