View captioned video.

Item number 29, consider and take appropriate action regarding the county ad valorem tax.
I move approval of a been b.

>> second.

>> anything we need to hear today?

>> no, debbie watermilk, investment manager to Travis County.
I'd like to introduce chase representatives, larnell and valerie hill.
we couldn't do this without them.
they do a terrific job and they've done a great job in negotiating the contract and trying to do the best for the county.

>> thanks very much.

>> we want to let them know it's not that I don't care for chase, I have to abstain and the reason I'm abstaining is that I do a lot of business with chase bank and, of course, I just feel it would be a conflict of my interest to vote on this.
so I'll have to abstain for that reason only.
it's not that -- for that reason only.
thank you.

>> any reason we should not approve this?

>> no, sir.
as a banker for chase, I introduced valerie hill who has been the client representative on the county's banking business for well over four, four to five years.
and the county departments work with valerie day in and day out.
she talks to them on their banking needs, any issues, concerns they may have, and they have said wonderful things about valerie and the job she's done for the county.
and she knows the county's business backwards and forwards on the banking and it's -- they are very great to work with.

>> I can remember the old bank one days.

>> miss hill is the one we call when we have problems and complaints?

>> [laughter]

>> all in favor?
show Commissioners Eckhardt, Gomez and Huber and yours trouble voting in favor.
Commissioner Davis abstaining.
