it is my personal pleasure to be here to honor della because of all the wonderful things that you just read in the resolution, but also because if you can understand my definition of a true renaissance woman, that's della.
if I'm not mistaken, I know she's at least bilingual.
I believe she may be trilingual.
she pos tesss a p -- possesses a ph.d.
one of the most interesting people that you would ever have the opportunity to meet.
and if you haven't had a chance to really talk to della or get to know her, now she will have a little more free time, I hope you do get a chance to really get to know her.
she I think will continue to provide a valuable service to this community.
she's my own personal role model.
at my age now it gets harder and harder to find someone, you know, older than me.
but della is --

>> [ laughter ] della is someone that I really do look up to.
and I'm guessing that she probably doesn't know this because I have not told her.
but I believe that it's important that you tell people how you feel about them and you do it in a public way.
and it has been my great pleasure and privilege to consider her not only a member of my staff, but as a friend.
and I will since searly miss her owe sincerely miss her.
su for all you've done on a professional and personal basis.
