We indicated this morning we would call up item number 7 this afternoon.
number 7 is to present certificates of recognition to Travis County employees who completed 20, 25, 30 and 35 years of service during 2010.
I believe we have been asked to come down front.
wheel we are shaking hands somebody else will call out the names.

>> we would like y'all to come down front and shake the hands of this employees.
we're going start with 35 year employee.
we're going to ask as we call your name, come down here, shake the hands of the officials here.
then we'd like you to pause.
when we get all the 35 year employees, we want to take a picture of you together with the Commissioners court.
and to come over here if you want individual pictures with your boss, I'm sure you want it with your boss.
just say yes.
then we can certainly do that outside for you.

but we put her on the 35 year list so that she could get a certain scat this year--certificate this year.

>> it reads why weather as the partnership for public service has declared may 1-7 2011 as public service recognition week, whereas citizens benefit from Travis County's public service delivery system that ensures justice and public safety, preserves health, serves veterans, provides a safety net for the needy, fosters an efficient transportation system, promotes recreational activities and preserves the county's natural resources, whereas the Travis County government's approximately 4600 employees judiciously manage taxpayer dollars to ensure accountability efficiency, effectiveness in the delivery of the aforementioned services, whereas Travis County government values accountability upholding the public's trust, good customer service, sound fiscal policy, and administration, respect for the individual, honesty and openness whereas public records nationwide chronicle the leadership, commitment, innovation, contributions and valuable services provided by public second employees in an assortment of disciplines, for example, public administration, human resource management, information technology, accounting, finance, law, criminal justice, emergency services, health and human services, medicine, and more, whereas the Commissioners court recognizes and wishes to acknowledge the service and commitment of Travis County's 4600 public servants by displaying an employee appreciation panner on the ned granger building, and is that banner placed today?

I had no idea.
whereas the Commissioners court will publicly recognize on may 3 2011, 146 employees who have completed 20, 25, 30 and 35 years of service with Travis County government, and that is just what we did a moment ago, whereas the Commissioners court challenges each elected and appointed oh official to acknowledge the contributions of their employees, especially during the week of may 1-7, national public service recognition week, now therefore be it known that we members of the Travis County Commissioners court do here by proclaim may 1-7, 2011, as public service recognition week and may 3, 2011 as Travis County employee recognition day in the great county of travis, and y'all moved approval and voted for it last week.
I move we do it again.
