Consent Items

View captioned video.

Consent items and posted for consent c 1 and c 2.
any issue with either of those?
let's consider adding the following items to the consent motion.
if anyone would like for us to discuss any of these items I'm about to list separately, please say so as I call out the number of the item.
number 7.
8.
9, except -- no.
9.
that's 10, many and varied.
any issues with any of them?

>> the only thing that I wondered was at one time we had points given to folks if it was a preventable accidents.
are we still doing that?

>> some suspensions if there was --

>> so that process is still in place.

>> still going on.
in the transportation department they are doing points.
in the sheriff's office they are doing suspensions.
one is as much as 60 days, I think, one one week for those that cause the accident.

>> now, you said 9 and then what was your next one?

>> 9, all of 9, a through j.

>> all right.

>> 10.

>> I have a problem with 10.
what I need to vote on.

>> okay.
11.
12.
13.
one question was whether more than one year was possible.
I don't know whether you all discussed it with the department or not.
this is for renewal of one year.
the question was can we get more than one year.
it's all right with the court if we get more than one year up to three.
right?
but the backup says one year.
our authorization if this motion passes would be up to three years if possible.
is that all right, mr. Lawyer?

>>

>> [inaudible] but I don't remember where we are.

>> we're about to run out.
the item today is renew for one year.
their question is can they renew for two or three more?

>> you are authorized up to three.

>> that's the motion.
any problem with that, court members?

>> no.

>> > number 17, cyd and john, have you all discussed it?

>> we have discussed it and if you could -- understanding the motion, if you could authorize the purchasing agent to get the best terms possible before March 31st.
everyone is happy with the deal.
we want to make the purchase.
I can't speak for if Commissioners court, but it saves us $3,000 if we can close it before the end of the month.

>> that's a whole lot of money in this day and time, john.

>> I have a question.

>> we'll pull it up for questions.
17 is not part of the consent motion.
18.
19.
20.
21 a and b.
22 a, b and c.
the three items we had the public hearings on, 24, 25, and 26.
27.

>>

>> [inaudible].

>> will it take you more than 30 seconds?

>> probably not.

>> let's here it right now then.

>> okay, then, well, in my mind it's the wrong place and the wrong time --

>> could you come up to the mike?
speak up.

>> briefly, my name is ronnie reeferseed and I believe this is the wrong place and wrong time here in the live music capital and yes, the dead baby capital for shame.

>> thank you, mr. Reeferseed.
29, excluding 29 d.
so 29 a, b, c, e and f.
there is a special language we need to use on d that we got from miss jo this morning.
30.
with the date being may 2015, unless the county can negotiate a two-year renewal at that time.
that's miss wilson's language and I understand that to mean may 5, 2015 is the date, but if we can renew another year we would good through may 5, 2017.
is that okay?

>> that's fine, judge.

>> our lawyers have been busy in the last two days, y'all.

>> move approval of consent.

>> 33.
with judge perkins or do we want to have a lively debate.

>> move approval, judge.

>> including 33?

>> yes.

>> second.
would anyone like us to pull any of those items we just listed for separate discussion?
all in favor?
that passes by unanimous vote.
