Travis County Commissioners Court
Tuesday, March 15, 2011,
Executive Session
miss porter, that brings us to executive session.
we previously announced the postponement of 23, 24 and 25.
we also announced that we would take number 8 -- 8 or 13?
>> 13.
>> 13 into executive session under the consultation with attorney.
13 is to consider and take appropriate action on interviews of respondents to request for services for Travis County redistricting services as follows: and they would be basically the -- well, proposed questions to be provided to the respondent's a, and we find of moved on b a little bit.
but interview process.
let's announce that just in case, consultation with attorney exception.
and number 26, consider and take appropriate action regarding purchase of open space, land in precinct 1.
that will be the real property.
let's also announce consultation with attorney exceptions.
27, receive briefing from county attorney and take appropriate action regarding responsibility for road maintenance within or adjacent to the village of creedmore.
consultation with attorney exception.
28, consider and take appropriate action regarding economic development agreement for webberville solar plant project.
that's the financial incentives or economic development negotiations exception it's formally called.
and number 29, receive briefing from county attorney regarding status of purchase contract for the sale of county-owned property located on johnny morris road in precinct 1 to balcones resources, inc.
consultation with attorney and real property exceptions to the open meetings act.
we'll discuss those matters in executive session, but will return to open court before taking any action.
>> we have returned from executive session where we discussed the items announced including 13, the matter involving a request for services for Travis County services, gave staff direction to get answers for us.
any other action on this item today?
okay.
we'll have a new wording for that item next week.
but it will be back on.
we discussed number 26, the potential purchase of open space in precinct one.
based on that briefing that we got, in my view, no action required today.
anybody think differently?
we discussed number 27, the matter involving a request for road maintenance within or adjacentant to the village of creed more.
we gave staff directions to draft a letter in response to the letter we received, a letter setting forth not only our position on the law there but also our willingness to work to up with a remedy satisfactory to both of us.
so that matter will be back on the court's agenda at the appropriate time in the future.
we discussed number 28, the economic development agreement request for webberville solar plant project.
>> judge, I move that we direct the Travis County account attorney's office to begin the process and enter into an agreement for 80 percent rebate to the frv solar plant project in webberville.
and we would like this agreement to be similar to the one that we used at the rre solar farm project that we just recently approved here just recently.
so we'd like to maybe format off that and see what you can come back with as far as that direction.
>> discussion on the month eggs?
--on the motion?
all in favor.
that passes by unanimous vote of the three present.
Commissioner Gomez had to run and is no longer with us today.
29 is matter involving the sale of county owned property on johnny morris road in print precinct one.
the wording today is for briefing only.
we have have an appropriate item on the agenda next week for approval of the sixth amendment to the contract and will look at it then.
in my view, no fert action on 29 today.
do we need call 13 back up?
>> yes, sir.
>> 13, matter involving Travis County request for redistricting services from a vendor.
>> yes, marvin bryce, assistance purchasing agent.
staff just needs direction as to whether it's okay to send those questions to the firms now, or should we not send them out?
that was never heard on how the court would like that handled.
>> I move we send the questions to the firms.
>> second?
discussion?
all in favor.
that passes by unanimous vote.
>> thank you.
>> thank you.
ms. Porter, we are done.
>> we are.
>> move adjourn.
>> second?
all in favor.
that passes by unanimous vote.
