Executive Session

>> miss porter, have we come to our executive session items?
number 32, consider purchase of several tracts of land in northwest Travis County in connection with the balcones canyonlands conservation plan and take appropriate action.
consultation with attorney and real estate exceptions.
33 a, consider and take appropriate action regarding the downtown lot of-at third and guadalupe.
a, receive legal briefing regarding various legal options for county for a pickup private partnership regarding a new civil courts building, and that will be under the consultation with attorney exception.
we'll discuss those two items in executive session but will return to open court before taking any action.


>> we returned from executive session where we discussed number 32 involving the several tracts of land in northwest tray in connection with the bccp.

>> judge, I move that we authorize steve manila to execute a contract on the county's behalf with various landowners in the lion creek area to benefit the -- preserve subject the following conditions.
one, the price offered be according to the per acre appraised value for the area determined by outside appraisers and staff.
and two, if values are requested by land owners that are higher than the per acre apprised value then staff will bring these reasonable counter offers back to the Commissioners court for consideration.

that passes by unanimous vote.
we also discussed 33-a regarding the downtown lot at third and guadalupe recently purchased by Travis County and the possibility of a public-private partnership.
we got the briefing, had a request to ask legal questions and get answers but no action today unless there is objection.
and we will have a similarly-worded item on the agenda next week for action.
with that we are out of business today.
