Item number 1 is a public hearing to receive comments regarding a request to temporarily close boyce lane in precinct 1 for bridge maintenance beginning March 14, 2011, and continuing through April 15, 2011, or until construction is completed.

this is a request to close that segment of boyce lane.
if you allow us to do this we can get the project done less expensivelyly, quicker and safer.
result in about a 30-day closure.
there are viable detours for folks to use and we would recommend the closure.
>> any objections called to our attention?
>> none that I've heard, judge.
>> just a general question about what it was about.
>> and when did we put the notice up in the area?
>> it went up about a month ago and we contacted the school district.
there is a bus route that we worked with them and are going to reroute their bus route as well.
>> would anyone like to give testimony during this public hearing?

this will be action item number 10 on today's agenda.
it will be recommended for inclusion on the consent motion.
