>> number 19 is to consider and take appropriate action on the following related to the environmental review for the gilbert lane land acquisition for affordable housing development project funded by community development block grant funds through hud.
a receive comments provided during the public comment period.
b certify the results of the environmental review.
and c, authorize submission to hud san antonio field office region six.

>> good morning.

>> miss muppet?

>> county health and human services.
so back in December the Commissioners court approved a public comment period to move 174,000 -- to make available $174,000 for acquisitions of four lots to supplement a 27-lot acquisition that was completed in October.
this was so that Austin habitat for humanity, our partner, could have architectural control of that street and continue to make those homes affordable.
so as a part of that process we also had to do an environmental assessment to make sure that there were not any major impacts to the environment based upon this project.
and we brought to the court that report that there were no significant impacts.
and as part of that process we had to provide a 18-day public comment period.
so during this comment period whichened yesterday we received no written comments regarding the process.
and so today what we're trying to do is to get the court or the judge to certify the results and sign some forms so we can forward those to hud so they can have a 15-day comment period on any procedural issues if there are any.

>> miss artemus?

>> well, I realize the comment period ended yesterday.
I understand you did hear my comments this morning.
and I hope you will take them into consideration.

>> okay.

>> as far as certifying the results of the environmental review, congratulations.
that's great.
I'm in favor of anything that helps mother nature.
as far as authorizing submission to hud san antonio field office, obviously since I recommended that you seek alternative funding that is exclusive of hud, that would be irrelevant to do at this point.

>> okay.
thank you.

>> if we were to follow your recommendation.

>> yes.

>> okay.
thank you very much.

>> anybody else here on this item?
number 19?
move approval of b and c.
discussion on the motion?
all in favor?
that passes by unanimous vote.
thank you.
