we've for the some of the most outstanding individual and bands that are participating in this in this community.
we all know that Austin is known for being the music capital of the world.
here's an opportunity to see.
why of course, you probably already know that professor pope was a music director down at the southwest Texas university.
I mentioned that he was also the director for ray charles.
well, that's the caliber of musicians that we are bringing to you.
we want to invite you and your whole staff and the city of Austin to come out and enjoy this music.
we're going to be over at darth miller auditorium.
it all starts at 4:00.
and we are just excited about this.
and greetings from houston telleson university and the alumni association.
thank you.

>> thank you.

I also want to add that another one of our outstanding musicians will be karma stewart, who will also be featuring, along with Austin community college band, jazz band.
so you're in for a great treat.
we'd like to have each and every one of you plan to come for a wonderful evening.

>> will you please repeat the day and time and place again so we make sure that the public gets a clear understanding of where the event is to take place?
could you repeat that information again?

>> it's February 20th at doris miller auditorium in Austin, Texas.

doug has been with the fire department here in Austin I guess years.
of course he retired.
he was one of that first wave of firemen that were associated with the Austin fire department.
he goes back with a lot of historical things.
doug could tell you a lot of good stories if you want to hear them sometime.
he has a lot to offer.
in fact all of them do.
so I just want to make sure that you also, doug, stay involved and continue to do what you're doing.
you all are doing an outstanding job.

>> thank you.

>> also I want to say so many of these musicians have day jobs.
so they're firefighters or working with the federal corrections officer.
those are the struggling in the arts, you have to maintain a day job.
but you have a real opportunity February 20th to see some dynamite talent.
