24, receive report from the Travis County historical commission's certified local government committee on the completion of its latest historical survey, northeast Travis County outside of manor.
I thought you were just enjoying the Commissioners court work today.

>> well, we are.

>> Commissioners, thank you for allowing us to have a slot on the agenda today.
we have a very brief presentation that actually is a completed item rather than a continuing planning item.
that may be a little different for this morning.
certified local government program generated through the national park service moneys that are allotted to the various approved certified government programs throughout the country, and it's a process that -- whereby local funds and in-kind donations can leverage some money to do projects primarily related to preservation and the education -- preservation of history and the education about that.
we have as our committee here this morning representing us meg schmidt and chair of our committee bill hamilton.
we would like to present you all with some information about that.
this is the third successive or successful survey project that we have done with your help and as earlier this the meeting this morning you've approved another application that we hope will make it through.
I sometimes think if you are successful you should be reward, but then if you are successful and somebody else doesn't get the limited funds out there.
so we don't know yet whether or not that -- this new project will come to fruition.
but we would like to present you with the product of your latest efforts and our latest efforts.
and bill hamilton will make that presentation.

>> thank you, barry, and my purpose, judge, is not to say nothing but to say very little and to spare you some time.
one thing that I like to always remind folks about the certified local government committee process in Travis County, our responsibility is to help identify historic resources throughout the county outside of the city of Austin.
so all the nonmunicipal areas and then smaller cities like rollingwood, West Lake Hills, manor, et cetera, are included within our scope of responsibility.
as barry indicated, this is our third report.
this report covered the boundaries of north of highway , east of highway 130, south of Williamson county line and west of bastrop county.
in that particular case, that was a quadrant that was all county jurisdiction.
there were no -- essentially no cities in that area.
simply identifying resources on the ground and potential resources that might be further investigated, better documented and potentially saved if they are at risk.
so this is a paper copy of the report.
I think an electronic copy of the report is available to you as well n terms of dollars, it was a $10,000 project.
we hired hicks and company as our -- as our principal investigators, and the dollars were $3,500 from you all, thank you very much, $5,000 from the state and federal government government, and $1,500 of in-kind volunteer contribution, which is a value statement on the time that your volunteers, which are we, put into the project.
so it -- we've now documented, I believe, in three reports and we have more to come with your support and assistance and we appreciate that up to this point.
thank you.

>> thank you.

>> thank you very much.
appreciate your work.

>> thank you all very much.

>> and for very little money we got massive bang.

>> thank you.
thank you very much.
oh, great.
thank you.

>> I move that the report be received.

>> second.

>> all in favor?
that passes by unanimous vote.

>> and it's also on the website.

>> okay.

>> great.
great job.

>> move that we recess to 1:30.

>> second.

>> all in favor?
that passes by unanimous vote.
