View captioned video.

>> a-3 is executive session.
john, you and I said probably in the gray area.
do you want to do it in open court or should we hold off until executive session?

>> for a-3.

>> could we do that in executive session?
you're right.
as usual, judge.

>> you know, we could go into executive session now and plan to come out and discuss item 28.
that makes sense to me.
since we were discussing a-3, let's call it up or announce it.
consider and take appropriate action on request to use the name Travis County farmers market.
that's a request that we received.
we will discuss this item in executive session under the consultation with attorney exception to the open meetings act.
29, consider and take appropriate action concerning the settlement offer regarding payment of starflight services rendered to ronnie cruz.
consultation with attorney exception.
30, consider and take appropriate action concerning the settlement offer offer regarding payment for starflight services rendered to gabriel sivells.

exception.
31, consider and take appropriate action on request from the salvation army to position bell ringers at county facilities during the 2010 campaign.

32, receive briefing from county attorney and take appropriate action regarding notice of intent to sue for violations of the endangered species act in the balcones canyon lands conservation plan, permit number prt-788841.

and number 34, consider and take appropriate action regarding proposal for downtown office building by d 2000, a turnkey development company.
consultation with attorney and real property exceptions to the open meetings act.
we will discuss these items in executive session, but will return to open court before taking any action.

>> > we've returned from executive session where we discussed all of the items we announced.
before executive session we indicated we would take up item 28 after executive session and we have a resident here to give up comments.

Now, I did announce earlier that we discussed all of our executive session items beginning with 29.
the matter involving services provided ronnie cruz who is having a hard time paying the invoice.
in my view we should take no action today and let it unfold.
number 30 is the matter involving starflight services provided to gabrielle sivells.
I move that we accept the counteroffer to pay Travis County lump sum $5,900.

>> second.

>> discussion?
all in favor?
that passes by unanimous vote.
number 31, request from salvation army to position bell ringer at county facilities specifically the heman sweat historical courthouse and county facilities on airport.
move we simply apply county policy and accept the offer not to ring those bells.

>> second.

>> discussion?
all in favor?
that passes by unanimous vote.
and if we encounter any unexpected problems that they be brought to our attention as soon as possible.
okay.
32, we did discuss and we'll have it back on next week for additional briefing.
and we want staff to go ahead and do what staff typically does without us.
33, the matter involving the potential purchase of real estate in central Austin.
move that we authorize our broker to issue a letter of intent and report back to the report in a response as soon as possible.

>> second.

>> discussion?

>> do we need to add the facilities to move forward with environmental when appropriate?

>> no.
not yet.

>> okay.

>> discussion?
but our direction would be we would chat about that --

>> yeah.

>> all in favor?
that passes by unanimous vote.
34, the matter involving the proposal from d 2000, a turn key development company.
we did discuss the recent development regarding ownership of the land in question.
I move that we authorize county staff to meet with d2000 representatives to get any and all questions and issues answered or addressed and report back to the court on those matters.
we probably need two weeks to do that because Thursday is a holiday.

>> second.

>> discussion?
all in favor?
that passes by unanimous vote.
and miss porter, in my view --

>> move adjourn.

>> that does it today.
in my view we are not done yet.
a 3 is the matter involving the request to use the Travis County farmers market name.
any motion?
move adjournment.

>> second.

>> all in favor?
that passes by unanimous vote.
