>> 14, consider and take appropriate action regarding the data center program for the central campus needs assessment and master plan.

>> judge, commissioners, rody rhoades, executive manager planning and budget. Last week this item was brought before you. This was the last element of the program for phase 1 of the needs assessment for the master planning effort, and just a summary, the needs assessment for the data center resulted in a net occupied of -- by 2035. Overall gross square footage, which would include all of the backup units, all of the air units that would cool the facility of 22,476. During the course of the discussion, staff asked the commissioners court to approve three items. One, the program that you have before you, two, the preliminary inclusion of the data center to be included in the downtown master planning project, and then three, a conceptual design or conceptual idea of location being on the usb site that would be block 126 directly across the street from the granger building. And with that we'll be happy to answer any questions you might have.

>> so approval of this item means what?

>> approval of this item for the program itself, this would approve strictly the programming concepts that we had developed through phase 1. Much like how you have approved all the other space requirements and staffing requirements for the master planning efforts. This was just the last piece of that programming that -- that we're asking for approval for. The second and third items will really allow us to move forward with some of our scenarios that will be rolled out later this week to ensure that we're including the data center portion in those scenarios for public and staff input as we go through our workshops.

>> so we are free to later deviate from this conceptual plan if the facts, circumstances justify doing so.

>> absolutely. This does not lock -- lock us in at any point. All we're doing is billing them into our scenarios and there may be other facts that come up as a part of the workshops that we do later this week that would change some of these scenario development.

>> okay. Questions or comments? Move approval.

>> second.

>> all in favor? Show commissioners eckhardt, huber and yours truly voting in favor.

>> commissioner davis abstaining.

>> commissioner davis abstaining. Thank you all very much. Several items we need to call up this afternoon.
