Item 28
>> 28 is consider and take appropriate action on the following, proof recognition.
>> my only concern was so many people have chosen to not take pay stubs any longer and do direct deposit, which is wonderful from a green perspective and greatly rested our paper usage, so i'm wondering with regard to the -- the pay stub stuffers, i'm assuming from the backup that it will only go to those getting pay stubs. We won't do a copy for every employee and send them interoffice.
>> that is correct. We just wanted to make sure there are about 600 employees that do not have direct deposit. Some of them are temporary employees and they won't qualify but some of them are not and don't take direct deposits because they don't get their pay stubs. Even though we're going to post this on the internet, we want to make sure all employees are aware they are taking nominations for the grievance panels. That is why we want to put it to the payroll stuffers.
>> i want to make sure we were only doing as much and just for the future, not specific to this item, maybe a more global pitch, to come up perhaps with a standardized way that we get information out to all the employees. Because right now we do it a little bit different each time and maybe we could standardize it so people have an expectation where they are going to see their stuff.
>> absolutely.
>> thank you.
>> move approval of 28 b.
>> second.
>> discussion? All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote. Downtown austin alliance?
>> no, but we've got the item.
