I have received the legal opinion that i asked for on item 27, and it is that the county judge should continue to abstain. As i've done on this matter historically.

>> judge, i would like to move approval of item number 27.

>> it reads: consider and take appropriate action on request to reappoint richard hopkins to the austin-travis county integral care center board of trustees formerly austin/travis county -- austin/travis mental health mental retardation board effective immediately, term to expire september 30, 2012.

>> i'd like to move approval.

>> second.

>> of item 27 and -- thank you. And with that, i did receive an e-mail from an individual that felt that term limits should be applied to appointees, and, of course, -- anyway, i wanted to say that as a matter of record i did receive an opposition e-mail that term limits ought to be applied to appointees.

>> any more discussion? All in favor? Shows commissioners davis and hueber voting in favor. Show the county judge abstaining because his spouse is employed by this agency.
