Travis County Commissioners Court
Tuesday, July 20, 2010,
Item 11
>> real quick one is 11, which is to consider and take appropriate action on a request to approve the amended citizen participation plan related to the community development block grant funded through the united states department of housing and urban development. Just for the record, the changes are:
>> we will add to the participation plan the description of our -- the description of our -- our added alternate projects. As we've been discussing with the court in the last few months as we progressed towards the 2010 action plan, staff through our learning process has found that some projects don't progress as quickly as others. And so we find it prudent for us to have sort of a list of projects that we can easily move in to take advantage of funding that may be lagging because of slow moving projects or because of projects that have to be moved from our implementation plan. So our citizen participation plan is required for us to discuss how we will notify the public about how we're using these federal funds and so we needed to add to that plan the description of our alternate projects. And so we have done that, we posted the plan for public comment from june 28th through july 12th. We had no comments shared with us on this plan, so staff is recommending court approval.
>> move approval.
>> second.
>> discussion? All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote. Thank you very much.
>> thank you.
