Finally, let's call to order the travis county housing finance corporation one item. 1. Consider and take appropriate action on request to notify the texas department of housing and community affairs that unspent neighborhood stabilization program funds will not be used by the corporation for homebuyer assistance projects. Mr. Davis.

>> good afternoon, harvey davis, manager of the corporation. If you will recall, earlier this month you authorized a change in the program -- request for a change in the program design of the neighborhood stabilization program. In order for us to -- to use nsp funds to assist austin habitat and the -- in the construction of affordable homes in the area. Since that meeting, austin habitat has decided that it made more sense for them to -- to contract directly with the texas department of housing and community affairs to use these funds. Rather than being a subrecipient of the corporation. And we agree that it makes more sense because it relieves the corporation of oversight responsibility of the austin habitat construction projects. And it -- it will be easier to do the project because they were -- they would only be two entities involved in -- in using these funds instead they've entities. -- instead of three entities. Finally, austin habitat may have the opportunity to use more funds, more nsp funds, than the 960,000 amount that -- that we were trying to use of -- of -- of the -- of our grant funds. So what i am requesting is that you approve us informing the state that we wish to deobligate the funds, the unspent funds, so that they have those funds to be able to use to assist in the austin habitat project.

>> and do our state friends know that this is coming?

>> yes. I've informed -- i've given them the backup and said is that we are going to make the request today.

>> let us simply state for the record that this action in no part reflects the state's unwillingness to work with you. For habit -- or habitat for humanity.

>> right, that's correct.

>> trying to be humorous there, mr. Davis. Move approval.

>> second.

>> discussion? All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote.

>> thank you.

>> thank you, mr. Davis. My favorite county employee.

>> thank you, harvey.

>> move adjournment.

>> second.

>> all in favor? That carries unanimously.
