Executive Session
Miss porter, am i correct that gets us to executive session? This morning -- earlier this morning based on advice from counsel wilson, we indicated our intention to call up item 4 under the consultation with attorney exception. Four is to consider and take appropriate action regarding the process and schedule for developing the advertisement for the public hearing to set elected officials' salaries for fiscal year 2011. And the calendar for action for the remainder of the salary setting process. Consultation with attorney exception. 22 is to consider and take appropriate action on acquisition of approximately 8.6 acres of land on fisher hollow trail in connection with the balcones canyon lands conservation plan. Consultation with attorney exception, john, plus the real estate exceptions to the open meetings act. 23 we announced will be postponed. 24, consider and take appropriate action regarding the potential purchase of real estate from travis realty corp for property located at 700 lavaca street, just in case we need it. Real estate exception plus the consultation with attorney. And number 25, consider and take appropriate action regarding issues associated with the potential sale of county-owned land off fm 969 in east austin to the city of austin, consultation with attorney and real property exceptions to the open meetings act. We'll discuss those moorts in executive session, but will return to open court before taking any action.
>> we have returned from executive session where we discussed the following items: number 4, the matter involving the setting of elected officials' salaries and the advertisement for the public hearing. We did receive a legal briefing and i suggest that we have it back on the court's agenda next tuesday, june 15th, for appropriate action. Anything further on 4?
>> number 22, the matter involving the purchase of approximately 8.6 acres of land on fisher hollow trail in connection with the balcones canyon lands conservation plan.
>> i move that we offer for purchase the price of $240,000.
>> second.
>> discussion? All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote. We discussed item 24, got a briefing on a couple of issues. In my view we'll have it back on the court's agenda next tuesday. For appropriate action. We think this wording is appropriate.
>> we'll provide additional language for that item.
>> okay. We'll new language. 25, the matter involving the potential purchase of county owned land on 969 in east austin by the city of austin. We did get a briefing. And we have an approaching deadline specifically on june 12th. What if we have this on the agenda next week and get an update and know what facts we need to deal with.
>> would the court be interested in approving the fourth amendment that was offered to the city as well and then repost it for next week in case there is change?
>> approving the document that we've already sent over? That's fine with me. Move approval.
>> second.
>> and so if they approve that one, we don't need to take action. It's a done deal, pretty much, right?
>> right.
>> okay. Any more discussion? All in favor? That passes by unanimous vote. And that does it for the voting session of the commissioners court.
>> move adjourn.
>> second.
>> all in favor? That passes by unanimous vote.
