Travis County Commissioners Court
Tuesday, June 8, 2010,
Item 21
Since we have y'all there, 21, consider and take appropriate action on property tax rate considerations for the travis county health care district.
>> we recommend the same 100% anticipated collection rates, the same optional homestead exemptions of 65,000 for the disabled and over 65 and 5,000 or 20% for all homesteads. The same homestead exemptions 100% on the structure and 20% on the land and no debt buy-down on the district.
>> mr. Davis, one week on this one too?
>> yeah, i would like it, judge.
>> okay. Have we notified the health care district of these recommendations?
>> yes, judge.
>> okay.
>> i believe john has spoke to them today.
>> i gave them a copy of the backup.
>> what did they say?
>> they chose not to attend today.
>> did you let them know at 11:00 a.m. Today?
>> no, it was last week.
>> we'll give them another week.
>> we'll have 21 back on next week. Thank y'all very much. We'll see you next week unless -- yes, sir.
>> would you next week put the road districts on also? We need to make the same assumptions for the road district?
>> i will if you submit an agenda item. We will be happy to do it, mr. Knight. Thank y'all very much. See you next week instead of next year like we did last year.
>> thank you.
