>> number 5 is to approve proclamation designating the month of may 2010 as hispanic cultural awareness month in travis county and recognizing the 24th annual cinco demayo celebration and the 15th annual con bind city and county celebration.

>> good morning, judge, commissioners. Virginia alama hrmd, also part of the committee. We are here today to let everyone know that we will be celebrating s--ci in, co demayo on friday, may 7. We will have food, arts and crafts, and encourage everyone to come out and support the different departments out there trying to raise money for their departments or different organizations.

>> and to recognize the men and women who fell as well as those who work to ensure our freedom, whereas this year's event marks the 15th annual combined city of austin and travis county celebration, and is sponsored by many elected and appointed officials and department heads along with the downtown austin alliance, and whereas travis county will celebrate cinco demayo at wool ridge park from 11-2 p.m., and commissioner gomez wants knee add that each employee should spend his or her full hour at the celebration on forward, may 7, featuring marich harks and foe lorico dancer, johnny delgado and con juto, plenty of food and refreshment, be it prothat the travis county does here by recognize the 14 anniversary of cinco demayo and encourage is all sut zence to participate in friday's fes activities and we designate may as hispanic cultural awareness month in travis county and encourage all citizens to participate in this month-long celebration of hispanic culture. And i prove approval.
