Citizens communication is next.
and three citizens have signed in.
maurice priest number one.
blanko number two.
number 3 is gust --gus pena.

>> thank you, judge, Commissioners, maurice preist speaking on my own behalf.
today is the first day of early voting.
don't delay.
vote today.
vote them out I say.
it's true this really is your last chance.
that is Texas dot, what they are saying.
this is your last chance.
they are not kidding.
remember in 2009 they had the toll violation recovery program.
it lasted three months.
they gave reduction of 90 percent of all their fees and fines and encouraging people to pay their unpaid tolls and fines and fees, which amounted to over $50 million.
tex dot was willing to write on up $50 million.
not very many people participated in this program.
it was much like our driver responsibility program.
last numbers I saw years ago was they assessed about a billion dollars in fines and fees and only collected about $300 million.
they also put about a million drivers off the roads without insurance and driver's license.
well, the city of Austin was complaining to cap metro about $50 million they felt like cap metro owed them and tex dot is willing to write off over $50 million in unpaid tolls and fines.
the last tip, many of the very people complaining about this situation on the campo board voted to give cap metro $27 million in the last tip.
you know, I was reading this community impact paper.
i don't know if you all have ever seen it.
it came out.
i don't know why they had this election section, but they didn't have anything about the precinct 4 race, but they did have it in the statesman.
the front page of this article here talks about the mining site in hornsby bend approved by Commissioners during the January 26 meeting, despite protests from neighbors and Commissioners alike.
it says you can get more information www impact news.com, more impact news.com slash 6879.
on page 5 of the same publication talks about a citizen voice concern about hornsby bend project as txi stockholder I am concerned that txi does not currently have the demand for cement that would justified expansion at this time.
meaning txi cement plans are closed due to recession.
written by holly.
i think we really need to concentrate on fixing the things that our government, it's such a hard thing to go down to the city of Austin and to the boards and commissions like the zoning and planning.
i saw the people that went down and spoke about the txi matter.
it was really painful to watch how they are treated before they even get to the county level.
so I hope that y'all would have a better working relationship and work to have a better relationship with the city.
thank you.

>> thank you, mr.
preist.
mr.
pena.

>> good morning, judge, I told you when I first ran forwill.
the Austin police association endorsement, I carry it proudly because it is an honor for somebody, a native from the east fifth area, to be endorsed by the Austin police association.
they check background and everything, don't leave anything unturned.
i have a lot of friend over there.
i wish them well and may god bless them.
i thank you the good lord for giving me another day in the world.
i want to welcome this student from.
she is eagerly looking at you to see how you stand on issues.
judge Biscoe and Commissioners, why are the senior citizens not allowed to receive dental care at the hospital district dental clinic ex?
i have a lovely former neighbor of mine, jean sanderson, she brought up, if anybody will bring up to the Commissioners and city council, you will.
i ask you please direct this to the hospital district.
and why the senior citizens there on medicare are no longer able to receive services at the dental clinics also.
a lot of senior citizens qualify out in the bush now looking for somewhere else to get their dental services provided.
as the prior speaker spoke, today is early voting starts today.
i would proudly, have said this before to the veterans and other constituents that call me, please please reelect judge Biscoe.
he has the leadership capabilities I like to see everybody have.
i don't agree with everything he says and I know he doesn't agree with everything I say or do.
the man has top qualities we are looking for in a leader.
please reelect herb evans, justice peace.
and another officer, leonard martinez.
he is running for the 299 district court.
priest, ewe urge everybody elect him as an udge j.
he is talking about the 17-year-olds brought into the criminal misdemeanor courts.
they are traumaized.
we all have done something wrong but to have a 17-year-old lumped in with 30, 40, 50-year-old people.
there are programs he brought for the that are very good.
census.
(in spanish) unemployment stats are not correct.
judge and Commissioners, people have given up.
no more jobs.
please don't look at these stats like that because the true actual figures nationwide, countiwide, citiwide, not good.
please start the budget process earlier.
so many people out of jobs, more funding for social service agencies and summer youth and employment programs.
i'll wrap up.
the society's worth is measured by the treatment of the less fortunate.
it is true.
please start the budgetary process.
people are hurting.
we need your help.
thank you very much, vote.

>> thank you, mr.
people --pena.
anybody else with citizens communication whether you signed in or not.
