Travis County Commissioners Court
January 12, 2010,
Item 21
The matter involving -- 21?
consider and take proposes action on request from the Austin heritage council for in-kind services for the 2010 martin luther king, jr.
celebration as follows.
a, print 1500 copies of the 2010 brochure, and b, authorize constables to assist with security.
we've done this in several events in the past and it's kind of worked out all right.
they've indicated at this time that they need four deputies for about six hours.
the event itself is four hours, so I guess that's like an hour before it starts and an hour afterwards.
it's worked out pretty well.
those 1500 brochures will cost $980.55 and precincts 1 and 3 have been -- have assisted in the past and have indicated willingness to help at this time, and looks like other constables kick in if needed, and it's worked out all right.
the court has already approved it.
>> I have no problem with it, judge.
>> in that case I move approval.
>> second.
>> discussion?
all in favor?
that passes by unanimous vote on both those.
