11.
consider and take appropriate action regarding an order to designate election day polling places for the March 2, 2010 joint primary election.

>> thank you, good morning, Commissioners and judge and happy new year to you.

>> happy new year to you.

>> you have a list before you that gives uses the list of election day polling places.
we are doing really great so early in the game to be able to give you a completed list of polling places for election day, for the March 2nd primary.
now, it's interesting this year, March 2nd is of course Texas independence day so the primary is going to be on Texas independence day, which is kind of interestg.

>> what a way to celebrate.

>> yes.
so we will all get to celebrate.
i do anticipate I will be back before you a couple of these are very likely to fall out, and we will come back with the appointments but we am pleased and grateful for the election staff getting this done early so we can start getting the word out to all of those locations and to both the democratic and republican primary party offices so they can figure out those are our polling places.

>> thank you.

>> can you tell us, when they actually go out and inspect for those assistive technologies with some of the changes, I guess, is -- early voting and stuff like that from the permanent voting location, can you basically tell me when that notification will probably get out to the folks?

>> I can't tell you exactly right this minute but I can get word to you.
what I can tell you is that it's approximately 30 days to three weeks out.
we wait for the voter registration deadline to hit.

>> right.

>> and then that starts the pattern for us to make sure that everybody is notified because that's when everything is all set.

>> okay.

>> places are set.
the people are set and then we start trying to get word out.

>> okay.

>> so it's not about 30 days but about three weeks.

>> about three weeks, okay, thank you.

>> you are welcome.

>> move approval of proposed order.
discussion.
all those in favor.
this passes by unanimous vote.

>> thank you.
