and we were advised over lunch that we could postpone item no.

to receive briefing from county attorney and take appropriate action concerning the extension of administrative leave with pay for Travis County probation department employee slot number 9, this is the consultation with attorney exception, plus the personnel matters.
we'll discuss these items in executive session, but will return to open court before taking any action.

a-1, the matter involving a request for extension of assistive leave with pay for an employee in the juvenile probation department, specifically the one in slot number 9.
i move that we authorize an additional five days of leave with pay.

we previously settled this matter.

30 is the matter involving the claim by linda Moore smith.
we also have 29 there and we have claims outstanding in both.
move that we approve the settlement offer to linda Moore smith in the amount of $40,000, that the settlement document contain a provision in which ms.
smith agrees basically to assist us with any legal matters that involved her during her time of employment during Travis County.

i move that we reject the offer to settle this matter for $563,880.

i move that we authorize michael norton to enter into contracts for the two November 2009 events only for the following amenities and services at half rate.
tables, chairs, electrical connection, water connection, and dragging equipment and services.
all other amenities and services are at full rate according to our posted rate schedule.
and the estimated rent and amenities -- estimated rent foramen advertise and services based on ms.
manroe represent education today are for the November 14th event, the full rate service and amenities will be $1,100, and the half rate amenities and services will be $650 for a total of $1,750 estimated charge.
and for the November 21 to 22, two-day event, the full rate services and amenities will be 5,950, and the half rate amenities and services will be $1,300, for an estimated full charge of $7,250.
anything above ms.
manroe's representation today that are not included in the half rate amenities and services detailed today will be at the full rate.
