>> good morning.

>> good morning.

>> good morning.

>> judge, do you have any specific questions regarding this application.

>> I called it up earlier and somebody pulled my coattail about it.
i kept wondering while y'all were here.
i saw star flight down here and I didn't see y'all with the uniform.

>> that is okay, judge.

>> this is a request for Travis County to receive a grant that was awarded

>> [indiscernible] concerns and enhancements for the star flight program, what we originally requested was the amount was $283,926 for -- due to the amount of requests that was there with the -- once everybody divided the money, we left total amount of 75,000, which they granted to star flight.
and that's 75,000 would be very useful in the purchase of 3 sets of night vision goggles, one fire bucket which is commonly called a ben bucket and a trailer to enhance the capabilities of the aircraft to provide emergency services such as search and rescue, fire, et cetera, et cetera, and we ask that you accept this grant.

>> okay, we didn't approve this as part of our budget process?
two years ago?

>> this is -- this is a new award, judge.
and there is no county match required for this award.

>> was we didn't authorize purchase of goggles and night goggles.

>> yes, we did authorize purchase of goggles, we have goggles now that is effect of being used but this is to enhance the capability because the goggles have to go back for services periodically and then to have additional set also allow to us have continuous service with the night vision goggles.

>> four additional sets (n

>> three additional sets (n

>> with the inclusion of some additional equipment for the aircraft as well, bam bibucket.

>> yes, the bambi bucket would be additional equipment.
we have two bambi buckets we use, but again if it goes out of service we one down to one so we want to have continuous coverage of this, because we know that equipment goes in for periodic service or if it goes in for some mechanical reason.

>> move for approval.

>> second s.
discussion?
all those in favor.
this passes by unanimous vote.
