Number 1 is a public hearing to receive comments regarding a request to temporarily close bridge 113 over walnut creek on old manor road in precinct one for construction of roadway approaches to the proposed new bridge beginning on or about February 1, 2010 and continuing through April 30, 2010 or until construction is completed.

this is a public hearing to receive comments from folks in the vicinity of our project.
regarding our proposal to close a portion of old manor road during the construction of a bridge project that we are working on with txdot.
txdot will actually be the entity that bids out the project and manages the construction.
the actual project construction will probably start in December.
the road closure will happen sometime after the start -- after the start construction process, that will occur within a three-month window.
we don't expect that it will take a full three months to do the work that this closure is intended to -- to allow for.
what we are doing is building a new structure next to an existing older structure that has historical significance.
so the new structure will accommodate traffic in one direction and the old structure will be rehabilitated and accommodate traffic in the opposite direction.
what the closure is needed for is to make the transition to split the traffic to get on to the new bridge.
that's what we're thinking can take as much as three months.
we would expect the -- the closure to happen in about the time frame mentioned in the agenda backup, but it could slip, depending on weather conditions or

what we hope to get today is any comments from the public, next week we would ask the court to approve our recommendation to close.

in the backup, it describes a route that will utilize a position of old manor road, a portion of johnny morris, u.s.
290, springdale road and commercial park drive.
so if you were heading east on old manor road, you would have to get off on springdale road, take u.s.
290 to the east and get off at johnny morris coming from that direction in regards -- for folks headed west.
