mr.
gibbs is here on behalf of the family and those who worked closest with mr.
lebermann to accept this proclamation from the court.
it's with great sadness that I am read thing proclamation today.
but with great happiness looking at the legacy that mr.
lebermann has left central Texas if not the whole country and the world.
he -- I will forever remember him for his wit and his intellect and his ability to get out in the public sector with people all the way across the board and make good things happen.
Travis County Commissioners court proclamation, whereas he was a visionary leader for the city of Austin, Travis County, the Austin san antonio corridor and the state of Texas, whereas mr.
lebermann served with distinction as a member of the Austin city council and the board of regents of the university of Texas system and was a noted businessman and philanthropist.
he led by example.
throughout his life he recognized the importance of cooperation, collaboration and creating consensus over a broad cross-section of the community for the betterment of lives of everyday people.
whereas he was key to both starting and serving on the year-long task force that led to the election that created the Travis County health care district.
contributing both his time and his money to the successful community-wide campaign for passage.
whereas in 2003 he was chosen by the Travis County Commissioners court to be a finding member of the central Texas regional mobility authority.
where he served as vice chairman and on the executive committee.
leadership he held until his death.
whereas mr.
lebermann was a friend to many and a mentor to past, current and perhaps future elected officials.
whereas the honorable lowell h.
lebermann jr.
will be missed for his dedication, humor and joy of living.
now therefore be it resolved that the Travis County citizens of this county to join in honoring the memory of lowell h.
lebermann jr.

>> thank you.
he'll be missed.
don't know if you got a chance to know him or -- those of us who got to know him are honored by that.
i have known him 20 years myself, I was real, real young, he was always a mentor and outstanding leader.
really got involved in community and civic and -- professional affairs.
and I never could understand how he could manage to stay so busy and be so successful in so many different endeavors.
i'm happy to say that I was at the home several times, always enjoyed the food and drinks.
i guess I don't have a standing invitation to come out there, when I want to, do i?
>> any time, 24/7.
>> all right, thank you, thank you for coming down.
>> thank you.
any other comments?
all in favor?
that passes by unanimous vote.
wish the family well for us.
