Item no.
13 is to consider and take appropriate action on reappointment -- to reappoint larry tucker to the animal advisory commission effective July 31st, define, through August 1st, 2012.

>> Commissioner?

>> yeah, I'm absolutely delighted that mr.
tucker is interested in reappointment.
we appreciate the -- the job that you have done there.
one thing, I just wanted to add because this is a particular issue in my precinct, is that in looking on your backup and your focus of the advisory group has had, I didn't see mention of education for the rural, urban interface problem that we have with dog packs.
these are domestic dogs.
this dove tails into your -- your mission that has been assigned already as far as keeping our pets alive and-- and not causing death and what has happened out there is -- is -- I say this as much for public information, but also hope that you will represent these interests for the county on this committee because people move to the country and think they need to buy a guard dog, that then runs loose.
it may be, you know, fido is a good pet but the dynamics of these dogs are such that they are pack animals.
so they get in the country and they start running as packs and they attack livestock and have attacked our citizens and constituents as well.
so I know that we -- of course the county has an interlocal with the city of Austin animal control for animal control purposes and they do education, but we would like to -- I personally would like to see more outreach education on this particular topic.
so I hope that you will consider that in your representation of our council.

>> thank you.
.

>> > second.

>> move approval?
discussion?
all in favor?
that passes by unanimous vote.

>> [indiscernible] answer to that question.

>>

>> [inaudible - no mic]

>> all right.
