Executive Session

33 is to receive briefing from county attorney and take appropriate action regarding settlement proposals in the following pending eminent domain proceedings for the cameron road extension and bridge construction project.
a, Travis County versus kings gate, lp.
b, Travis County versus north gate lp.
and c, Travis County versus bishop's field lp.
and 33 would be under the consultation with attorney and real estate matters exceptions to the open meetings act.
and item number 34, consider and take appropriate action regarding the potential purchase of real estate along airport boulevard, consultation with attorney and real estate matters exceptions to the open meetings act.
we will discuss these items in executive session, but will return to open court before taking any action.
and by the way, we were delivered confidential information yesterday which you will need in executive session.
there should have been a white envelope with confidential written on it.

We have returned from executive session where we announced part of the items we announced this morning.

we did discuss part of the items we announced this morning and we had to discuss three items and the county attorney tells me that I need to read those three items again.
they are number 30, consider and take appropriate action regarding proposal for downtown office building by d2000, a turn-key development company.
we'll discuss it under the consultation with attorney and real property exceptions to the open meetings act.
31, receive legal briefing from county attorney on issues arresting implementation and status of the human resources management department development plan for executive manager of administrative operations and director of human resources and take appropriate action.
that's the consultation with attorney exception.
and we'll discuss 32, deliberate implementation and status of human resources management department development plan for executive manager of administrative operations and director of human resources and take appropriate action.
and 32 will be under the personnel matters exception to the open meetings act.
we discussed the other executive session items and the -- this morning's tape has been in possession of the county judge since we recessed for lunch and we will be on side b of that tape this afternoon.
we'll do these discussions in executive session, but we'll return to open court before taking any action.
We are out of executive session.
we did not discuss item number 30.
we will have that item on back next week, which is July 14th, '09.
and we discussed 31 and 32 at length.
in my view we're not ready for action today, but we will be next Tuesday.
so we will have 31 and 32 back on the agenda next Tuesday with the intention to further discuss and act on the information that we gathered today.
number 33 is the matter involving the cameron road extension and bridge construction project eminent domain proceedings.

I move that we accept the eminent domain acceptance agreement in the amount of $38,883,000 from (indiscernible), from bishop fields lp, and also kings gate lp.

>> in the amount to settle this eminent domain agreement.
and that we also direct staff to prepare the necessary paperwork and bring it back in the proper time line that was indicated in discussion.
signed off as far as signature for that amount of money.
